BSA ROCKET 3 - 1971
Dick Mann – Daytona

In 1970, Triumph and BSA create a program of competition. They enter each one a TEAM in Daytona. BSA does very well by entring, neither more nor less, Mike Hailwood himself (!) at Aldana and Rice's side. But, this race, will be the 1 st victory in Daytona from a Japanese bike : the 750 Honda with Dick Mann. The same Dick Mann with a BSA, this time, will win this race in 1971. Before, Triumph had been revenged by wining the Bol d'Or and will repeat in 1971 with a bike very close to this BSA.
